What usually happens after the festive season is that everyone returns to the office and finds themselves having to change their login passwords. With the appropriate hangover and wanting to just login and get started then password security can be easily overlooked.
The most used password between 2011 and 2019 was "123456" and the 2nd most used was "password" during the same time period. Using basic passwords can cause gaping holes in any business or personal IT system that hackers can exploit.
